Surprise surprise... Osim buck the trend today.

 

I never like Osim's business model, no barrier of entry, despite high margin.


But Ron Sim is a natural dynamic salesman though, who can really "sweet talk birds on the tree to fly to him", a famous Chinese saying.  

 

The story of this company :  listen to someone's advice and go global and wanted to be 2nd Creative of Singapore brand. What a joke, chinese says " Not contended, snake swallow elephant".

Such a small SME in local and take on US retail giant ! Now write-off, so he say write-off and just write-off, does he get permission from all share investor. Ha Ha Ha, still got guts to show picture on Strait Times, if I were him, quickly find a hole to hide !

Just came back from Holiday in US Sell this counter, the brook store in US which OSIM brought is doing badly.. I think will bleed OSIM dry....

 

only not much people know about it due to slow evolution of current social norms.

But since this is an age-old human trait which will inevitably express itself overtly in time,
it will not be for long before it becomes common fashion.
It is already evident among the young people and adults of today.

Then it's back to Sodom and Gommorah days all over again.
Then, civilisation's morality history repeats another same cycle all over again.

In the meantime, the market serves those who need to to exploit it to the fullest.
Thus 'innovative' products should do well in such a future market...

Uzap is that white & green belt wrapped around your waist one. It has a built in vibrator which "supposingly" to break down those fats molecules. haha... if you notice fiona xie's, she wearing that on the advertisement board. =)

You are really an Osim fan. I only bought the massage chair. Quite cheap <$1500.

KXD is even cheaper at Sgd. 0.005.

I think Osim (and also other brands') products are great...

They really let one live one's live better...    

 

I don't know if you have heard that before.

OSIM closest rival closed shop. If OSIM is number one, that will be bad.  if OSIM is number three that will be very very bad.

Either way, the outcome is obvious.

And yes, only sucker will buy a 3500 dollar electric chair. Electric Chair.....?? Hahahaha.

I classified all OSIM products as luxury goods.....know your kaynesian....

I think v difficult as you're competing direct with the "Factory of the World" leh. Anything which u can come out with, they also can innovate/produce much cheaper tho not in the same quality. Dun forget there's also other competitor like OTO who can undercut too. Stay cautious!

 

Maybe when economy improve, Osim will start making money again.
