Since no one can time the market, do you think it is a good idea to

Everything is possible, but it seems STI is more influenced by China, not US at this time. Similarly in Nov12 pullback. US has gone down, but STI is just late follower. Just watch out closely........

With stocks, never be contentious, but be ready to admit wrong and dump... 
Of course, a dead cat bounce is possible...
If the market  is downtrending, it will be good to sell at the juicy peaks...
