I think there wasn't any motive by anyone. Initially the market is correcting downwards after peaking. Then as it came down, the Japan quake and tsunami added to the momentum of the slide. On hearing the tsunami, the smart money sold and shorted bringing their weight heavy on the bourses. Then to add salt to the injuries, the nuclear reactors explosion culminated in killing the stale bulls who jumped into the fray with those early birds shortists.

Don't buy yet, just let it float. Because the big investors are frightened about the end of the world and wants to take the money with them even if going to hell, hahaha. Anyway they will sell out first and if the world doesn't end they will come back to buy. Cheers.
