For those who made good profit on the 1st two days of GLP listing were very good luck.

That one really 升得不清不楚.  I sold higher than my initial target price.

But this one really can not make it.

Never Buy Newly Listed Shares within 6 months from the listed date.

To Play IPO, you must subscribe to the IPO and sell your allocated shares immediately when you make money. These usually happens within the first 3 days from the listed date.

After that, the share price has a high change of falling and it could fall for the next 6 months.

This is because, directors and major shareholders are forbidden to sell their shares in the first 6 months of the listing. So they are unlikely to play with their shares during this period, hence price usually falls. After the 6 months period, they will start sell their shares to take profit, this will drive share price even lower. But, they'll still make money because they got their shares at pre-listed price, which is a lot lower than what you paid for.

I don't play IPO because unless your buy at pre-listed price, your chances of making losses are high.

This is just my personal views, you don't have to take it seriously.

Good luck.

phil1314      ( Date: 27-Oct-2010 13:41) Posted:

This is a recent IPO with many institutional shareholdings that has not seen any share run up after the first day trading.

Lowest done so far is $1.05 but has levelled at $1.09 and $1.10 with volume still sizeable. Thus price seem to have bottom and traders are accumulating.

Based on the dividend payout the returns are still higher than bank interests. Potential price run up is high.

Thus downside risk is limited and there is upside potential. Makes sense to accumulate further and accumulate your costs price.

But $1.40 within next few weeks is not likely.
