my take is wait for SGX announcement n letter of offer.....currently we do not know the details like how many major investors will willing to sell n if they dont then everything back to normal. if they do, then at wat price?
for us we wait for SGX for the actually offered price n it is up to u to sell or not to sell.   however if it is a delist case then u have no choice but to sell (ofcos if u insist u still can dont sell but after delist, SGX wash hand)
Any suggestion on how long we need to hold on for those who are caught at price higher than 1.60 like me?

Saw the comment from other forum, but don't know how to interpret, any gurus here to help out? =)
"   The statement is not very clear. The acquisition price being *based on* Fri closing price means that it may not *be* Friday's price, but pegged to it.
Usually, for a big chunk of shares, in a hot market, the acquirer will have to pay a big premium. Reverse is true in lousy / distressed market.
If the acquirer buys more than 30% of the total shares in STX OSV (which is the case here, because it's 50.75%), they will have to make an offer to all other shareholders at / higher than price bought from STX parent.
An alternative to the general offer process stated above is to do a scheme of arrangement, where the buyer makes an offer such that, if 75% of the shareholders agree to sell, then all 100% of the shares are sold, even those belonging to shareholders who do not want to sell. Remember though that the acquirer can set certain conditions in its offer.  "

for those bought higher then 1.6 no hurry to sell unless got suckers willing to buy higher then 1.6, n u need to pay commission via mkt selling,
for those lower then 1.6 no hurry to sell too becos no sucker will buy from u at 1.6 cos they need to pay commission n u too,
left behind r other grp with different agenda.

if the news is true tat the purchase price is 1.6 then on Monday the price will mostly hover ard 1.585.
at 1.59 it is break even, so those willing to buy at this price r those $$$ need some washing,
at 1.585 still got profit to be made n the purchase volume will be high to make a little meat,
below 1.585 r suckers dont know wat going on u can just buy from these suckers n turn ard with good profit,
BUT THE NEWS MUST BE TRUE 1ST

News not confirmed, better wait for news from SGX.....but if sale is at $1.6, likely the price will go lower than $1.6 as the buyer did not indicate the intention to buy over the rest of the shares. Even they do, I doubt it will be at $1.60......this stock had been rising and then holding well and paying 10 cents dividend although the rest of the stocks drop because of europe, US data and slowing of china economy etc.
It is difficult to predict how market to going to react as this stock had great fundamental. A point to note is that STX OSV ipo at 79 cents and was at around $1.1 - $1.2 level when the announcement of the sale of the stake make it as high as $1.8.
Most analysts has a TP of $2.....
It will be interesting to watch how things develop.......
Hahaha
And the sale is not confirmed......if europe situation worsen, hmm.....well.....
So highest is 1.60.....but with europe, US and china situation, going to drop further???..................they might want to keep stx osv continue listing in Singapore.......
crap shit
i bought at 1.655
answer is No..
they will buy all the share at $1.60

How much money you made? Red wine or lim kopi?

You bought at $1.20  and sold at $1.60, right? How many lots? Did your father dump this stock also? Share the joy!
