===============
Yangzijiang Shipbuilding : BUY S$1.20 Blomberg: YZJ SP
Good earnings delivery
Price Target : 12-Month S$ 1.55
From DBS Vickers.
· 1Q12 net profit in line with our above consensus estimates
· Price catalyst from contract wins in 2H12
· Maintain BUY and TP S$1.55
Highlights
1Q12 above consensus. Yangzijiang’s 1Q12 net profit grew 7% yoy to RMB1bn,
forming 25% and 28% of our and consensus FY12 estimates despite the fact
that 1Q is seasonally the weakest quarter due to CNY effect. Gross margin
of shipbuilding held up at 26%, supported by high priced contracts secured
pre-crisis. The company has delivered 15 vessels in the quarter, on track
to meet its target of 60 vessels for 2012 (incl. 10 vessels from Changbo
yard).
Sustainable good margins. The high priced contracts secured pre-crisis
(30-40% above current prices) account for half of the current orderbook (US
$4.5bn). The deliveries of these contracts in 2012-1H2013 would help to
support margins. In addition, steel prices averaged RMB4300/t YTD and are
expected to stay below RMB5000/t in 2012 versus the average of RMB4750/t in
2011.
Our View
New orders to be back-end loaded. Yangzijiang has secured US$206m new
orders YTD, lagging behind our assumption and company’s target of at least
US$2bn. We expect order wins to be back-end loaded on the back of recent
enquiries and negotiations for containership orders, which should translate
into firm orders in 2H. Recall that Yangzijiang has outstanding options for
26 units of 10k TEU containerships worth US$2.6bn with Seaspan and Peter
Dohle. Current order book is healthy at 96 vessels worth US$4.5bn,
translating to a healthy book-to-bill ratio of 1.8x.
Offshore plans in progress. The first phase of the construction of the
offshore yard in Shanghai will commence this year and complete by 2013,
costing US$350m. Initial orders (likely to be 2 jack-ups) are expected to
be secured by partner, Qatar Investment from the Middle East. Venturing
into offshore is a wise move but obstacles like order wins and technical
know-how will need to be resolved.
Recommendation
Maintain BUY with TP S$1.55. We continue to like Yangzijiang as one of the
most well run Chinese shipyards. Maintain BUY and TP of S$1.55, based on 7x
FY12F PE, in line with its average since 2008. The stock also offers c.5%
dividend yield.

On Friday, Yangzijiang re-test the support at $1.225 and closed at $1.235 with LOW volume of 10.35 million shares traded.
Separating lines occurred. If the separating lines occur during a downtrend and the first line is white and the second is black then this suggests that the downtrend should continue.
RSI & MACD are flat as MACD lines converge together.
Currently prices are resisted by 20/50 days MA at $1.31

Take CIMB as a sample let see..

On 09/11/11 ZYJ – S$ 0.96 and CIMB Target S$0.72 (see here Mini-conglo in the making  )
On 02/12/11 ZYJ – S$ 0.88 and CIMB Target S$0.72 (see here Neither here nor there)
On 21/02/12 (> 2 month) ZYJ – S$ 1.31 and CIMB Target S$1.43 (see here Not out of the woods )
On 06/03/12 (< 1 month) ZYJ – S$ 1.36 and CIMB Target S$1.43 (see here   It’s not all about the money)
On 20/04/12 (> 1 month > 2month) ZYJ – S$ 1.23 and CIMB Target S$1.43 (see here   Share price offers value now)

At S$0.96 or S$0.88 they do not see value but now S$1.23 they see value, asked peoples to buy ???? ..and the target price up almost 100% ..CIMB’s too pessimistic at end 2011 of too optimistic now?? Confuse …
