Yzj has more to go up. Not too many weeks back, it was running neck to neck with Yanlord.  On some occasions it was several cents lengths ahead of Yanlord, but now it seems it is losing the race as Yanlord charges ahead with more than 10cents winning margin.  Hehe, as though I was seeing a horse race. Yzj will catch up. Lol.
0.95-0.98 is good entry?

Really something interesting on " 15% shares can grant  control over the operation" .. try to find out more on this..

I think yangzijiang got a good buy as it helps it position to  the offshore marine market which  is giving a very  good margin.
I remebered that when this legal started about 2 years ago, it was mentioned that this 15% shares are speical because it gave the major control over the operation of the PPL shipyard. (you may need to dig up the history to confirm)

I am still waiting for it to reach $.077 before entering again.   I brought the stock last Aug 2011 sold the stock in April 2012 which I had made a mistake.   I should had sold in When it hit $1.42.   Please let me re enter again at $0.77 or around $0.8.
Sembcorp Marine only offer of S$59.4m for remaining 15% of PPL Shipyard. But Yangzijiang willing to buy at US$155m. Yangzijiang offer price is 2.31 (@ fx 1 = 1.27) times higher. Do you think Yangzijiang offer is too pricy?
" " UOBKH report source: (Yangzijiang Shipbuilding: PLH Acquisition Is Immaterial (UOBKH))
• This legal battle erupted in May 10, after Baker agreed to sell PPLH to a consortium led by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (YZJ SP) for US$155m. In response, SMM, which owns 85% of PPL Shipyard, made a counteroffer of S$59.4m. After SMM’s offer was rejected, it contested the sale in court, claiming first right of refusal over the remaining 15% stake. The timeline and shareholding structure of the acquisition is shown below.  " "

If tomorrow could break above 1.03 strongly, it will end the downtrend started in March.
Boxship orders freezed | |

That only affecting those small shipping companies, in fact, most of the new orders will go to big companies like Yangzijiang.
Baker won the court against the SembMarine over the PPLS stake will help YZJ to go into the offshore sector with Middle East partner in the futher.
Expect most shipping stock to go down...
I read in news that they are lelong their ships now... some even cut 20% selling price...
Great Singapore Sales..

China do not intend massive econ stimulatuion- but will be selective. YZJG can expect to be suppoerted by govt projects?
what up with the big bor COSCO?
strong siol!
Best to read for knowledge and then to do your own calculations.  Stocks are never really too cheap nor ever really too high.  The perception is either right or wrong, that's all. Was it too cheap at $1.00  before going down to 90 cents or was it too high at $1.20 before going up to $1.40 recently?   I believe it is only right to get our own target and act accordingly to whether buy or sell.  To be fair, analysts are sometimes right and sometimes wrong.

Good to concentrate on one good one.  But sometimes we thought one is good but then it might turn out to be lousy.  That's why I invest in so many counters, good or bad, you name it I might have it. My hope is one good one will pay off everything.  For YZK I got only 18 lots and am expecting dividends of $990.  But my sg dividends coming before Mid June will be slightly above $10,000 only.  Sg stocks only pay pittance.  Look at just one stock of my US ones can pay US$2000 per year. Singapore directors don't have reputation for being good and honourable gentlemen, that's why I play less in sg stocks.

yea... but only invest in this share though...
figured if i can better ride on then up and down of 1 counter... why bother to diversify?
concentrate on 1 counter is easier than a few at the same time...
further more since i boarded the ship in 2008, and an eye on this company, i think it has been managing well.
price volatility mainly came from speculation and overall market sentiment.
it is a solid company among other China base's.
my 2cents.

The dividend payout has been increasing over the last 5 years and there is still room for futher increase.
Wow, you will be getting $2200 in total for 40 lots.  Quite a good extra income to spend with. Lol.

40lots before xd, the quantity will affect the payout time?
gt bank account registered in CDP, previous dividend also gt it directly in bank account... just got vague memory that it is not on the actual "payable" date stated in anouncement made in SGX.
thks bro.
huat ah!

How many lots do you have before xd? The dividends will be paid today (31.5.12) and the CDP would then deposit to your bank account by tomorrow 2.00pm.  If you did not provide a bank account to CDP, then it will send you the dividend check by post.
