Buy on rumous, sell on news.
My view on starhub is if you are still holding onto their shares, hold on tight. If you did not enter or offloaded prior, do not enter... i see it as a mature counter which is overly priced.

" this a good news? next week will hit $3.00? If this a piece of good news then i will knock my head to the wall as just sold my 10 lots yesterday . "
not need to knock your head as long as you made profit.  With current market situation, i am quite sure you can buy back your shares anythime with the price lower than  your sold price.
this a good news? next week will hit $3.00? If this a piece of good news then i will knock my head to the wall as just sold my 10 lots yesterday .

StarHub establishes $1b medium term notes program

StarHub established a $1 billion multi-currency, medium term notes program under which it may issue bonds from time to time, according to a statement to the Singapore stock exchange.
Australia & New Zealand Banking Group and DBS Bank have been appointed as dealers and arrangers for the program, according to the statement.

This is such an overpriced counter....
Looking to enter at 2.7x

For veterans, 2.88/2.89 may be a good price to short...

Does this counter so stable? Based on the 2008 recession, it did drop. Don't be mislead my brokers, they make you BROKE.
Starhub Ltd – Update (Derrick Heng)
Recommendation: Hold
Previous close: S$2.87
Fair value: S$3.00

·                              Depressed earnings to rebound on improved profitability
·                              Managed to retain PayTV customer base despite competitive threats
·                              NGNBN allows further reach in corporate business
·                              Resume coverage with a Hold recommendation and target price of S$3.00

//

My bet is that this will go up as high as 3.00 soon as investors turn jittery on other counters.
Profit at that level would be nice.

This is the most resilient stock on the mainboard.
Within weeks, its back to its near peak.
Market very choppy past few weeks, so it's a bit of a save haven for many to park their money as dividends are assured.
Dividends can act as safety net in case investors can't exit timely.
Minimal exposure overseas too so not so much  affected by Euro and US debt fiasco.
anyone knows why is starhub up up when sti is down down?
  the xD is over too...
The last counter I brought today.
Really like the strength in the last few days.
Stop-Loss is $2.715.
T.P. is $2.90 (Hopefully).
Yes, this one, after being pushed up the sky rwp weeks ago,
it then dropped like sheet after that...
