Golden Agri-Resources Ltd: Higher CPO output expected this year
Quote - Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) was recently quoted by newswires as saying that its output of crude palm oil (CPO) could grow by > 10% this year if weather conditions remain favourable. The group had earlier guided that it should be able to achieve a 5-10% increase in CPO production. Meanwhile, management was also quoted as saying that “there is continued tightness in supply, so whatever is produced by the sector in Indonesia and Malaysia is taken by the market”, where China and India continue to be the group’s core markets. We note that this is supported by the current market demand-supply situation, given that CPO prices have been fairly stable, despite the recent volatility in crude oil prices. While we are expecting CPO prices to ease in 2H11, we believe that the price decline would be more than offset by the expected production increase. Maintain BUY with S$0.96 fair value (based on 16x FY11F EPS). Ocbc Res

But immediate term may be hit by overall sentiments. Consumer counters mostly down and palm prices are hit too.

just to add another point, bollinger bands are tightening these few days too....
since 14oct last year, there is a strong support at the 65 cents mark, it went below that point 5times in feb and 5times in march this year, and rebounded after that.... if it tests 65cents again, might be a good entry point... by mid this month if it still holds above 65cents, then it'll be a 8-month support line....pretty good...
On Wednesday, Golden Agri re-tested the resistance at $0.69 and closed at $0.69 with LOW volume of 67.59 million shares traded.
A white candle stick with long upper/lower shadow affirms to the instability of the rally as investors are unsure of its direction ahead.
Both RSI & MACD are flat as RSI trend sideways.
Important Resistance of Golden Agri: $0.715
Immediate Support of Golden Agri: $0.69
Currently prices are resisted by 20/50/200 days MA at $0.69

This bugger follow CPO closely. These 2 days CPO up, GAR also up.
