In the we-are-still-not-dead-yet long term, price and NAV go up/down together. Anyway, I'm not trading, so daily/weekly/monthly fluctuations don't care.

hit  2.5 of course, not, but next yr, if recession hit, it may...patient is the key.

do not worry u miss the boat, there are always opportunity, my wife bought at 1.9 during the premier league saga.

just be patient, next yr could be it, but anyway there are much better counter than this. spread out your risk, u can never know?

look, olympus, look MF, look enron...mkt is  not scare of too  big to fail.

The trouble is starhub will not dropped to $2.5 level  by this year.

It is a case of buy at 2.88 and get the dividend or never.

I think it is better to spread your money across a few counters, instead of just starhub.,no doubt it gearing is high, but so long mkt player like it for it dividend and are willing to pay at 2.8X,who are we to sat they are wrong. Mkt is always right, never argue with it.

I believe if you spread your money across a few good blues chip will ave 6 to 7 %, not worth the the risk for 1% more on just one single counter.

good luck

I am keen to invest my hard earning money in StarHub. But I am very confuse about NAV in Q3 2011 report.  NAV  drop from 3.1 cent to  0.8cents. But market price is $2.88. My broker say  Starhub dividend  not bad 7.5%. Can anyone explain the relationship between NAV and market price ?

Do you think I shall buy at $2.5 ?

Thank you in advance

Using cash flow to pay dividend isn't sustainable in the long run... more like a  business trust strategy, thus the decrease in nav. If one like to invest for yield, there are plenty of high yield counters present in the current market like reits. Just be careful of its gearing.
