looks like something is brewing..
not a buy/sell call
Everyone has diff plan. There is always Buyer and Seller in the mkt. I think the company buying back shares is telling us that  they are confident going forward and they are seeing value appearing at the current price level...and also on the other hand, protecting/supporting the shares prices ...
if they get out who get it leh ?

i cannot believe it should be a balancing act ?  or they can lose more money......

When CPL make a move to buy back shares..... it already hinting us that this is the last chance to get out.... lol
Shorterm will support the share price....longerterm  don't think so..... only can long after when our property price to have some correction....

I will make sure treasury shares will be kept for 5years and at a losses... lol
Here's the Historical Charts.
NOL already hit the trough.
Capitaland

NOL

The fall should be limited for NOL in my opinion as it has hit double bottom and rebounded after hitting $0.98 in August.
It's low for year 2008 was $1.02 and should be well supported at $1.

CapitaLand's low for year 2008 was @ $1.70.
This one may have more room to fall, I will have to watch how it goes from here.

They still have plenty of room to fall.... STI not even 2000pt.... lol
I actually think that both Capitaland and NOL is a good bargain for long term buy and hold at their current price level.
Maybe I will consider going long with some of my CPF monies with a time horizon of 3 years.
Good Luck :p
