Buying when indicators show good signals to buy will very likely be buying at the top... - NOT TRUE TRUE

This is because indicators are based on what has already happened yesterday or before...

Indicators show the 'news' and history... Smiley

happy trading.

Hi maxcty,

The best time to load up on any counter, from a TA point of view, is when -

(1) the RSI is about to or has just recently crossed into the overbought region.

(2) Heavy volumes (or the Accumulation/Distribution line is uptrending)

(3) MACD shows bullish signs

For this counter, (2) and (3) are still true but this counter's RSI has been overbought for a few days already. While I still have bullish views on this counter, I am now waiting for the steam to run out of this bull.

Still holding onto this!

Moved my stop up to $1.53.

DnApeh - thanks for the ADX tip. For exit strategy, I prefer to use pre-planned stops.

Wow... 2 years ago.  :)  Can't remember liao...

I gave up on trailing stops already. They tend to activate too early. Always end up not making much money because the trade exits too early.

Now I just trail my stops manually using Fibo and Resistance levels. When the trend changes, the price will cut through the resistance level and the stop will activate automatically.

This means that I have to update my stops a couple of times a day to keep them up to date to the current trend.  But whatever happens, I never ever lower my stop.

Yes, i know. i just kidding.

i read about the 3 types of stops that you discussed ~2 years ago, i think. ( 1, cut loss ~5%; 2,sell when trend reversal; 3,set trailing stop 8% when letting profits run.)

a big THANK YOU for all the lessons!

Usually, I don't use a target price or any particular chart pattern or indicator that determines a sell action - unless there is a compelling reason to do so ... like some major sudden development.

What I do is to manually move my stops higher and higher as the price trend increases. I then let the stop activate and trigger the sell for me.

So its difficult for me to "give warning" to you....  :)

I'm still holding on to this one. Riding the trend. The huge volumes today show BB involvment again.

Put a protective stop at  1.48. So a confirmed profit of 21 cents for me.  :)

High volumes these past few days indicate accumulation by BBs.

Vested in this counter at $1.27.
