giantlow, the simple answer is that the big players don't think it's worth that much? Kilroy, don't send them into a panic leh. and heh. actually, i sold my spc last week alr. not 'cos i don't believe it has upside potential, but i need to consolidate cash. flowergal (pretty name!): XD is ex-dividend; aka dividend paid out. that's in May for SPC. and em, OR is just or. he was stressing the word..... |

hey singaporegal, would like your views on the current market actually. or if you could give an idea? are you movings funds into or out of the market? scale rating: for me it depends if FA or TA trades. If it's an FA trade, i'm very strict on requirements, esp if they're pennies. (prob a 4-5?) If it's TA, anything goes as long as criteria met (7?). Do i get a combined rating then? hehe. |

em, but we're not just expecting dividends, are we? as in, my thought was that share price will go up as well. before CNY would be good actually; i'm a bit concerned about budget day effects on general market. |

hi lookseeonly, by my estimates, the game goes on til abt feb 23rd/25th. that was last year's FYE and announcement of results. when is this year's, victorian? as i said somewhere earlier in this thread: expect deliberate control of this counter. the more the STI shoots up, the more it'll be tightly controlled. or even dip a little. Pure psychological game; impatient people will get bored and sell ("why edmi never go up, everything else going up!"); that's exactly what they'd want. if you're vested, hang in there. this one needs to be hunted differently from normal stocks since it's cornered. its trading patterns will be different. |

yep lausk22, selfishness is definitely more common. but then, if man is truly halfway between the animal and the angel, i vote we at least try for the latter. :) the practice is known as noblesse oblige. ie, noble obligations. the idea that if you have been given more, then you are obliged to return more to society. incidentally my real name has the word 'noble' in its meaning. ok lah, gotta go zzz. gonna be a long, long week at work this week. sigh. |
