Always always check your trade after you click ok to sell. It just happened to me 2 days ago when I oversold more then I wanted. Luckily it was 4.00pm and called my broker to check if the deal was done. I was advised to buy back back immediately or face penalty. Dun play play with SGX, they get easy kopi$$. | ||||

Did you ever fill up a "survey form" to describe about your investment style ? It is the same form which DBS and others are flipping for the Lehman MiniBond Fiasco..... Or just some setting issue ? When you sell, did you get a big Dialog Box about the 1K Kopi Money to SGX if you sell nothing ?

If u shorted on internet trading, u can call your broker to appeal to see if sgx can waive the fine. or u can quickly go open a sblt a/c and ask your broker to loan u the shares the second way is the safest |

I think (5% of the contract value) minimum $1K + 2bids penalty + $30 charge + SGX Buyin charge... Go here for HOWTO appeal...
