I think playing gold put you in direct exposure to USD. American need to buy gold now because they are holding USD. BTW, is paper gold equal to real gold ? Oil is going up and this will force SGD to go up. As long as our government budget is balanced, there is no reason to doubt the SGD. SGD is still a very good currency to owe..... Also as you have said, the cycle of gold tends to be very long 10~20years. Is this current gold rush a superhike ? Finally, change in US government is coming and things are going to look very optimistic again during this period. If not, do expect some discontinuity in the behaviour of Money, Gold, Stocks market after these times.... 2 month is a long long time for a punter....so you may want to wet your ankle only... Just my thought....any comment ?? |

I think the commodity bull is far from over..now it the time to enter..avg cycle is 15 yrs..this bull start in 2000..we are half way..i am taking a risk ..DYODD | ||||

Why future will be inflationary..Paulson just said it cost hundred of billion to bail out financial institution..where they get the money from...taxpayer...no ..they just keep printing..very likely the next fomc will be a rate cut. Inflation can only benefit gold and oil. |

Be forwarn that gold is volatile,and it is not for short term..i think right now it go up and down..but next year thing will be different.. I do not think we see a financial upheaval , what i think is market storm will cause to gold to soar. I still do see after the mess, the dow will go on to 25000( inflation adjusted) and gold to 2200( inflation adjusted) I dont think US will crash..it is too big ..US is actually thwe world and the world is US...how to crash??? How to invest in gold???if you buy stock, then you have to have knowledge of the stock you are buying, becasue like stock some are empty shell..so the best is you buy GLD 10US list on SGX or we can buy unit trust thro schroder of DWS..thro fundsupamart.. Me trade gold stock,but it is too risky, but the gain of course is better. i dont suggest you do the same..just the unit trust is good enough to profit greatly..DYODD |

You can buy Gld 10US in SGX. Paper gold. Trade like stocks. I think equity will still run on Mon as future today is +ve. Gold down today, will be so on Mon.

I know there are alot of sad soul out there, but they put on a brave and smiling face, but actually they are feeling very miserable inside.. Why i know? Very simple.. I loss 19K..have yet to recover...I am one of them.. But if you have deep pocket just sail thro...good times will come again...good luck and be happy.. Look at the bigger picture..months from now..everyone will smile again. I am looking beyonfd this nightmare.. |

Look , just as i post ,gold already shoot pass 903... There are just beginning...if there are more shoe drop...ther will be a stampede into gold.. The gold market is small/...500b..the stock is 48T..put it this way...500 versus 48000!!! Imagine a move of 1% from stock into gold will send gold double immediately. And ,we are talking about panic, so how many per cent do you think will move into gold??? Just 5 % will see gold at 4500!!!...no typo error 4500... Your move now...i am vested heavy here..DYODD
