U are right keep away for div's given shares at current buoyant market. Market sentiment, unlike last bullish yr, now the bearish market generally affect any counter after XD date. a typical exp like SIA, it was at 16.xx when it announced 80cts div. now before AGM it has slidded to 14.50. and take a look at strait trading, it given out $1.50, XD this coming 18. now it price was pushed to 7.54. vol below 100. ref to current stock prices, most counters had been slashed bt 10-15% since beginning of this yr. but this burger now the price very close to its yr high, due to high div given. its this yr high is 7.63 low is 4.02. if u buy it weeks ago, u may see some kopi $$ if u dump it b4 XD, base on the bad market sentiment. if u buy it at this moment, definitely u will get the div after XD, but u may get cought if u have no intension to make it as long term investment. Good luck loh!!! |

What is the bad post for? Salute, did you short sell SMRT? If not, just collect the divd. I do not think the buy in last cum date has anything to do w/ you. |
