Yes FIFO is the rule of the game in SGX. No other way out. Hence, gauge your captital while you trade, force selling is not a good solution. | ||

So does it mean that, by default, the contra will be done through FIFO (first in first out), unless you specifically request to do it another way? And is this default FIFO rule also applied to contra done through Online Trading account? |

Hi Bull, They will do a contra on the first contract u bought. However u can specifty which contract u want to contra also, though its going to be quite troublesome for the dealer to do (need paperwork). Hope it solve your question |

I guess FIFO (First in first out) applied here, in the way they will clear the very first lot u bought which is the one that you bought on Monday.remaining will be Tuesday T+3 (settlement day will be friday). if i'm not wrong.

Anybody can clear my doubt? For a same counter, let's say I bought 1lot on Monday, 1lot on Tuesday. And I sell contra 1lot on Thursday. May I know which lot will be contra off first (monday's or tuesday's)? Because I want to know when is the settlement due date of the remaining 1 lot I am still holding.. |
