sometimes it depends on personally preference i got it becoz there is no 12" laptop with 3.5g in it. Also you will get used to it after a while. Remember to get a netbook with lots of battery life if you travel alot. for me, sometimes i have to meet customers and friends hence i will switch to netbook for tracking purposes. Also, i have to travel for biz a netbook can help too.

In fact those who brought the trading vids series would know as there is a article and a MP3 discussing about having tip top trading devices. Not neccessary the most ex but just good enough. low to mid range will do.

For the landline, are you using ADSL modem (i.e. Singtel phone-line based type) or the cable modem (Starhub/M1 cable TV connection)?

I understand there is some reliability/performance difference, would like to hear experienced opinions. Thanks.

Do note that if you are trading US stocks at night, mobile broadband may be sluggish at times. This was my experience with M1 broadband.

Daytime broadband performance so far is still sufficient for trading requirements.

 Alert Admin 		I use M1's mobile broadband 1 Mbps service on my notebook whenever I am outside of home to trade stocks. So far no problems. Almost just as fast as home broadband when executing the trade orders. For just $22.42 per mth, it is really worth every cent as you get unlimited data acces. Can even catch up what's happening with smooth streaming of free "live" TV programmes of CNBC and Channel News Asia and others etc..... Just make sure there's reaonably good reception of M1 signal wherever you logged in. Have even used in car travelling from Kranji to Changi without loss of signal (I was a pasenger - not the driver )
