Derrick, thanks for the reply. As I'm new to shorting (or rather new to trading as well), so a bit slow at interpreting TA. By the time I decided to short, all the sifus out there have shorted. Will open another CFD account . . . maybe that will help. Thanks again.

Hi I have been using poems and CMC markets too. Poems will have lot of this problem of "long only". For me I still managed to short most of the time before "long only" thanks to my excelleent trading system. U just to do your due diligence. For CMC markets, ya i think lesser counters for STI. I am mainly using it to CFD the HKSE. U can try Lim & Tan, Saxo, igmarkets. I understand there is one more CFD broker coming in (waiting for capital markets license approval) .i think it is call GTI or GTL.. Cheers ! |

I'm new to shorting. Have opened a CFD account with Philips and CMC Markets. CMC has limited counters to short. Philips has more counters but whenever I wanted to short a particular counter, it's either change to 'long only' or 'exceeded company limit'. Will sifus out there suggest a better brokrage house? Thanks. |

Today 6 aug 08, resting day for me lah. HK having typhoon so market should be closed. US up strongly yesterday but I think it will come down tonight. today can only play CFD for shorting. Any recommendation? Commodity still a shortable targets |

It all depends on yourself. Not an inducement to ask u to short. For example when cosco moves up to 286 i shorted it again. Now 275 |
