Yes, it is a chip with your CR related data stored planted on the left side of your CR. D data stored in the previous magnetic strip behind d CR are the same in the chip. Currently, most CR had upgraded with chip planted on d card. D older fuel pump used sliding CR. Now, most of the new machine using chip reader.

Interesting on the CPU thingie, what's that? Central Processing Unit? We have cards from DBS & Sillybank which offers rebates on fuel. Other banks offer that too, UOB, OCBC, etc. But what about cashback or reward system? Which is better? I have ST-UOB which is free as long you have an active Singtel account. Sillybank reward points is valid for 5yrs. In terms of customer service, they are still much better than our local banks. |

Any card comes with CPU, as u can pump fuel in Msia petrol kiosk with card reader, if not u hv to pay cash first at the counter. Of course must be free subcription loh. Maybank ones, u can hv both ATM n credit in one card. But without CPU. Go Msia, no need to bring a lot of cash. However, u need to charge this card once every 3 mth. U need to open a saving account for the ATM card first n later apply a credit card n request for 2 in 1 facility. Then u hv both ATM n credit card liao. U can pass the ATM card to your relative staying in Msia n u still hv the Credit card here to do saving transaction etc. |
