I agree CWQuah, there is no point to hold this counter for lots.  Just pour some money in to anticipate if their marketing team makes some breaktrough.  :D

Looks like a long slow consolidation. Mgmt good, but mkt bad.

Share buybacks consistently in progress, and actually the newsflow for Aztech quite good. (Chk with SGX website on Aztech announcements). The Chairman/CEO's personal family fortunes are also linked thru a trust to Aztech, so mgmt interest alignment quite strong.

The only things to watch out for are their cost controls (some of their production is in China, and their consumer market partly resides in US) - what would appreciating yuan and depreciating USD mean?

Product lines - this company is still quite innovative. Skype phones, wireless modems, mainly telecoms/networking products. Now also doing remote control helis but I have my reservations on this - see how many different brands are already there in the mkt, would this be a good new revenue stream?

In any case, this is one of those counters which will consolidate for some time before a big breakout comes to play.

Good old shares if without good new prices are good for cold storage just like Aztech!

The same with good old tradition and Christmas songs must change with new playing styles to be intuned with the new environments! Cheers!

it's a sucker's  game, if Ben (rate cut) don't give what they (BB) want/expectation, market will be bloody. Fed must pacify the market not go against it. Well, there's a saying - unity (ppls - SB+BB) is strength. Ang mo is damn chow (i mean those Wall street mkt players) but i like their style (unity).

Aztech is a good counter, it will take min. 3 months to recover (partially).....good luck for those vested

Hi Mike, fed rate cut is another issue.  At the first place people hope the rate could be cut to 4% .. but fed only make it 4.25%.  The next issue is The rate cutting is not solve the subprime issue yet.

So, it was expected for it go move down.  We are here play hit and run.  If the technical come close .. get in and try a hit, if make money .. get out.  If not make money .. also get out ... find another entry level. :D

Cheerssss

You are right about perception as well as expectation.  Just look at the Fed's rate cut, becoz it is below expectation (even they cut the rate), the market reacted negatively.  Expectation must be managed.

Good old tradition will not change, just like good old X'mas song. If not all oldies will not be here anymore.

So, good luck to good old shares too!

Although the world is a new world now, they still play those ancient Xmas songs in the shopping malls.
I would have thought pop and hip-hop carols should be played... then it would be more refreshing... especially to the older ones... Smiley

A lot of uncertainties lah !..........Stock Market is "no durian 'bao-chai' " ! Whether the  market is 'boring' or 'interesting' depends on the Players' perceiption.

Frankly speaking,  you don't expect the px to move up just because there is a 'buy back' by the company - the market may think otherwise! If that is the case, then 'playing' the Market is very simple...sigh.................. all said, I think the outlook for Aztech is good and the px should be moving quite soon! Why? 'Cos I still believe in Santa Clause?......Cheers!
