Just finish work, ramba despite poor results did not affect the price.. Still inch up slowly and closed above 63.5cents.. something maybe really brewing...hopefully is the rumour 6000 haha I am not the brewing guy you all refering la... just small ikan vested in ramba hope all huat! enjoy weekend |

Market absorbed the result with little change in the share price. Maybank KE commented the loss was mainly due to a $3.8m write-back on the provision for doubtful cash call from its joint venture partner. Revenue dipped 3.3% to $18.6m due to lower production of gas from Jatirarangon as a result of natural declining rate. |

NPAT for 2Q13 was -3.6m.I think result was more or less expected as the exploration and production of oil and gas is a high capital intensive business which uses highly complex processes and state of art technology. As the Group still has oil and gas fields which are in the exploration phase, the Group can still expect to continue incurring high capital costs to fund the necessary exploration activities. Furthermore the group is fairly new in the oil and gas business after evolving from logistics business and they are confident that oil and gas will remain the mainstay of the Group's business, given the importance of the oil and gas industry and how it plays a key role in driving the global economy. Positive note going forward is that the group will proceed to appraise its recent discoveries at the Lemang block and work towards development and subsequently commercial production. Rumour said they discovered oil of 6000bpd output??If any, an announcement shld be imminent. Notwithstanding the above, the Group will continue in its efforts to grow its logistics business and expects the logistics business to have a positive impact on the Group's business. Recently listed Kris Energy and Rex are in the red yet investors are buying for their potential.Their price to earning ratio is much higher and more expensive than Ramba. |
