Retail sales always have a low margin, even though the standard minimum gross profit of product sales is set at a 30% margin for supermarket-type operations. All about the total SKU (Stock-keeping Units) average per store and volume of sales. Take out staff costs, pilferage, spoilage, distribution and warehousing, big boss income... 90% of a small number is not exciting. just my 2 cents opinion. )
